Boarding one of Bateaux London’s two cruisers is just the ticket for splashing out on an elegant meal in elegant surroundings. The 184-foot Symphony Parisien riverboat accommodates up to 308 people and has live entertainment during the Thames River Dinner and Sunday Lunch Jazz cruises.
All the Bateaux Thames restaurant cruises pass the London Eye, Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge, and the Symphony's all-glass super- structure affords magnificent views of them, while exterior viewing platforms enhance the experience.
The 112-foot Naticia caters for up to 180 guests and its sumptuous royal blue and dark wood interior has a classic charm. The split-level vessel has a gallery overlooking a dance-floor and superb exterior viewing areas on the upper and lower decks. An additional feature of the Naticia is a sliding roof that is retracted when the weather allows, providing a unique setting to dance under the stars.
Bateaux London additionally hosts fine lunch cruises for both business and a top family day out – just the ticket after a morning in the metropolis. Shakespeare's Globe, Tower Bridge, the Millennium Bridge and Houses of Parliament are just some of the many sights to behold on a trip from the Embankment or Waterloo Piers, and professional photographers are aboard to capture the scene.
Bateaux London specialises in modern European cuisine, and the Sunday Lunch Jazz Cruise provides two and a half hours on the water with a three-course menu and live jazz, taking in Mainstream, Dixieland, Trad and Smooth jazz from the ‘American Songbook’ - George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra and George Benson. Evening sessions begin at eight and Bateaux London’s Entertainment Director worked with Whitney Houston, Prince, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones and even Mr. Benson himself, so a fine family day out topped by magical music is guaranteed!
